Evans. This marriage was solemnized between us the mark of Stephen Green the mark of Mary Hoad. In the presence of the mark of Richard Hoad the mark of Mary. -And- 1795 Banns marriage between Stephen Green widower and Mary Hoad spinster of this parish were published on the three Sundays underwritten. That is to say 4th, 11th 18th of January 1795 by me Tho. Evans, Vicar.” Spinster is the same as maiden, unmarried.
